Ultra-clear, or low-iron, glass is chosen for a more neutral appearance than conventional clear glass. This is useful when the colour of objects, decorative layers or interiors should remain prominent. It is a base-glass choice, not a substitute for safety or thermal processing.
What to confirm before ordering
- Compare samples at the proposed thickness and under the intended lighting.
- Consider the exposed edge as well as the face of the panel when reviewing colour.
- Specify any required tempering, lamination or insulating construction separately from the low-iron requirement.

Is ultra-clear glass automatically safety glass?
No. Low iron describes composition and appearance. Safety performance depends on the processed construction and its applicable documentation.
Will every thickness have the same appearance?
No. Thickness, edge viewing, coatings and assembly can affect the final appearance. Approve an appropriate sample rather than relying on a screen image.
