Aluminum mirrors use an aluminum reflective layer on glass with a protective backing. They should be selected on the basis of the required appearance, dimensions and service environment, rather than assuming all mirror coatings are interchangeable.

Only after the required appearance and performance have been reviewed and approved. The coatings are different.
